This all-inclusive tour includes your flight from Adelaide to Port Lincoln where your guide will pick you up from the airport and your road journey across the magnificent south coast of Australia will begin. Expect to be wowed as you are about to experience the incredible seafood and rugged coastlines of the Eyre Peninsula, the wild outback of The Nullarbor, the pristine white sandy beaches of Esperance, the ancient escarpments of the Stirling Ranges and the giant forests of Margaret River. There is plenty of uniquely Australian experiences on offer on this tour such as an award-winning indigenous cultural experience, swimming with sea lions or shark cage diving, scenic coastal drives, 4WD’ing off the beaten track and incredible bush walks. You’ll take to the ocean experiencing various cruises and during whale watching season have the opportunity to do a scenic flight over the Great Australian Bight. This 9 days, 4000km journey across South Australia and the South West of Western Australia will leave you breathless, fascinated and reconnected with nature in a way you could not have imagined. This journey has it all. Stunning and diverse scenery, once in a lifetime wildlife encounters, food and wine experiences and indigenous culture. Travelling in an executive 4WD with your local guide you will get off the beaten track and experience The Real Australia.

Day 1

You will be transferred from your Adelaide accommodation bright and early to catch your 8.15am flight to Port Lincoln which arrives 45 minutes later. Your expert guide will pick you up at Port Lincoln Airport and take you to drop your luggage off at the Port Lincoln Hotel where he will give you an overview of what exciting things are to come on your journey across the South Coast of Australia!

We board the Electric Tesla Marina cruise where you will learn about the different seafood industries.

Then comes your first ‘taste’ of the Eyre Peninsula , board ing the Electric Boat Tesla Marina cruise . This is followed by a tantalising lunch of local seafood harvest at an award - winning seafood restaurant . With a full tummy we’ll then t ravel to Whalers Way, the oldest rocks in South Australia that feature magnificent views of rugged and raw coastline and next it’s off to Mikkira Station , the home of the Eyre Peninsula koalas . After a day of exploring we’ll enjoy dinner at the Port Lincoln Marina.

Today you have two quite different experience s to choose from!

Option one is to mosey up the coast to the picture - perfect seaside town of Coffin Bay where you’ll put on some wadders, head out into the water and learn about the oyster industry on the Eyre Peninsula .

All the while feasting on the fresh pacific oysters you have collected yourself straight out of the ocean. As we head up the west coast we’ll explore the regions National Parks and some other beautiful coastal sights such as Locks Well and Talia Caves

Then head back to our home Coodlie Park Wilderness Retreat where you’ll join us for a camp fire feast Aussie style. After dinner, we’ll head out on a Nocturnal Wildlife & Stargazing Tour giving you a chance to see the beautiful southern skies and get up close and personal with native wildlife while it’s at its most active.

Option two - If you are seeking some adventure on your visit to the Eyre Peninsula then you can opt to do the Optional Extra Experience and once in a lifetime experience of cage diving with Great White Sharks . This is a full day tour and Port Lincoln is the only place in Australia you can have this extreme adrenalin experience. There are two companies we recommend and each has a slightly differently approach. You’ll find more information about this optional experience here. If you do the shark cage dive, when the boat returns we’ll have a quick dinner in Port Lincoln and then make the 3 - hour drive to Coodlie Park
Day 3

We’ll be up early today for an inspiring coastal walk around Venus Bay where we often see dolphins surfing in the waves before heading to Baird’s Bay where you have the once in a lifetime experience of swimming with Australian sea lions and dolphins on a 3 - hour cruise of the calm waters of the Eyre Peninsula. The puppy dogs of the sea will splash, twist and and twirl all around you and the magical dolphins won’t disappoint either. Next, we’ll visit the weird and wonderful rock formations of Murphy’s Haystacks.
Day 4
Head of Bight

Day four begins with a great indigenous cultural experience visiting the Ceduna Aboriginal Culture Centre and then we make our way to the magnificent Head of Bight, Australia’s ultimate coastal lookout. In the months of May – September you’ll be able to see Southern Right Whales and their young taking shelter in the Great Australian Bight Marine Park.

You’ll be immersed into the real Australian outback as we embark in Australia’s most iconic road journey, crossing the 1660 km Nullarbor Plain. That might sound like a long way but there is plenty to see and do with stops at the iconic Koonalda Homestead and as we travel part of the way on the ‘Old Eyre Highway ’ which is an experience in itself! You’ll even have the opportunity to play golf on the longest gold course in the world, the Nullarbor Links.
Day 5

After breakfast, we’ll hit the road as today we have a lot of land to cover as we continue crossing the Nullarbor Plain into Western Australia. We’ll wind our clocks back 1.5 hours and your guide will entertain you as you enjoy the changing landscapes. A short visit to Eucla Telegraph Station ruins to stretch our legs. We’ll go off - road, 4WD’ing along the Balladonia Track towards Esperance.

This is not your usual run-of-the-mill backroad. One highlight will be exploring the old Deralinya Homestead. This property was built in the 1890’s as a sheep station and abandoned in 1926. This is a great place to realise just how resilient our pioneers were when they opened up outback Australia. Today is the day we clock up the most kilometres driving 900 km across Australia but when you see what’s waiting for you, every kilometre is worthwhile! We’ll arrive in beautiful Esperance in the evening and overnight at the Bay of Isles Motel.
Day 6
Cape Le Grand National Park

Words cannot describe the absolute beauty you are going to experience today. Located approximately 50 km East of Esperance, Cape Le Grand is one of Western Australia’s best known and most spectacular National Parks. It features blindingly white sandy beaches, an ocean coloured all imaginable shades of blue and sand so fine it squeaks between your toes. Wildlife is in abundance including the iconic beach sunbathing kangaroos which are usually up for a photo opportunity.

Swim, bushwalk and reconnect with nature today and tonight we’ll stay back in Esperance.
Day 7

Albany
It's more breathtaking scenery today as we head from Esperance into the beautiful Stirling Ranges. If you are lucky to be travelling during wildflower season it will look even more picture perfect. The white sandy beaches will turn in to rugged coastlines and rock formations of Albany and then we’ll head into the old growth forests of the Valley of the Giants in Walpole. Here we’ll explore the ancient tingle forests and if you are feeling brave you can climb the 51m Diamond Tree fire lookout near Pemberton.

Then it's back on the road as we make our way into one of the world’s best wine producing regions, Margaret River. Tonight we’ll enjoy dinner at the charming Margaret River Hotel . Today we travel around 750km through spectacular scenery of the South West corner of WA and overnight for 2 nights at the Darby Park Apartments in the heart of Margaret River

This morning you’ll have some time to explore the quant township with its eclectic craft and produce stores. This will work up an appetite as today we will taste our way around Margaret River and its wine and cottage industries visiting cellar doors, a chocolate factory, cheese factory and boutique brewery in this postcard perfect region.

Margaret River is also known for its world class surf beaches and we’ll show you the best at the Margaret River mouth. We’ll spend the night in Margaret River again feeling satisfied and warm from all the delicious produce tastings! Today we travel within the Margaret River region travelling just 50km or so.
