On your arrival in Ayers Rock, you will be transferred to your hotel, before watching the Uluru sunset and enjoying an award winning Australian barbecue dinner including steak, sausages, kangaroo meat, salads and sparkling wine.Â
Watch the Uluru sunrise before a guided tour around the base of Uluru.Â
You will be escorted to the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole, where you can view Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about the areas as your guide indicates some native flora and fauna and explains the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru.Â
You will also travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) where you will learn about the geological history of these giant domes.Â
We will also experience the Kings Canyon Rim Walk and be rewarded with marvellous views of Watarraka National Park (for those with a good level of fitness).Â
Continue the 3 hour walk around the canyon with your guide as you hear and learn about the geology and history of this amazing formation. Alternatively, take the more leisurely 1.5 hour walk along the boulder-strewn creek bed.Â
Experience the magnificent grandeur of the West MacDonnell Ranges, the deep red cleft of Standley Chasm, the mystique of Ellery Creek Hole and the cultural significance of the Ochre Pits.Â
See the immense cliffs of quartzite at Simpsons Gap, a haven for a colony of black footed rock wallabies.
