This 4WD tag-along tour includes Local Guides, Fully-equipped 4WD Landcruisers, a charismatic team, all Breakfast, Lunches, and Dinner and mostly a lot of fun. Real experience on Fraser Island with 3 days of adventure on this World Heritage-listed favourite destination!

NOTE: This tour is for those of the age of 18+ only.

Guests are required to attend a safety orientation meeting 5:00 pm the day before the departure date at Freedom Hostels Rainbow Beach (18 Spectrum Street, Rainbow Beach). This also gives you the chance to organize a sleeping bag hire if needed and to sort dietary requirements for those that need to. You’ll also be taught important driver safety training for your Fraser Island adventure. Passenger/Drivers names & age are required at the time of booking. Drivers must be over 21 yrs or over with Full manual license, must have held the license a minimum of 1 yr. and must carry the license on the day of your tour.

Guest are required to attend a safety orientation meeting 5:00pm the day before the departure date at Freedom Hostels Rainbow Beach (18 Spectrum Street, Rainbow Beach). This also gives you the chance to organize a sleeping bag if needed and to sort dietary requirements for those that need to. You’ll also be taught important driver safety training for Fraser Island.

We head over to World Heritage listed Fraser Island via the barge at Inskip Point

Once landing on the world’s largest sand island, we drive for around an hour along 75 Mile Beach, known as the beach highway complete with speed limits!
Eurong Beach Resort
We make a quick stop at Eurong Beach Resort where you can grab a coffee and snack (own expense) before tackling the inland tracks over to picturesque Lake McKenzie

Famous for its almost perfectly clear waters and brilliant blue colours. We have plenty of time here to enjoy a swim, relax on the beach and sit down for lunch before taking another drive up the beach highway to our private camp site not far from the beach. Once settled in, spend the evening sharing stories with your new friends over dinner and drinks.
Day 2
Eli Creek

Start the day with a quick breakfast before heading out on another epic day of adventure! First up is Eli Creek, a crystal clear freshwater creek surrounded by tropical plants which is also perfect for a swim and float along in the gentle stream.
Maheno Shipwreck
Maheno Shipwreck
Then its on to the Maheno Shipwreck, which washed ashore in 1935 and has become an icon of Fraser Island ever since. After some great photo opportunities and a short history lesson on the Maheno we travel up the eastern beach to Indian Head.

Indian Head
As Fraser Island’s highest point, it’s the perfect spot to take in the view and try to spot sea life such as sharks and whales (seasonal) in the waters below.
Champagne Pools

Find out how Champagne Pools got their name with a dip in these natural spa pools alongside the sea. Lunch will be enjoyed either at the Maheno or Champagne Pools depending on timing, safety and tides. In the evening we head back to camp for dinner and drinks.
Day 3
Lake Wabby
Lake Wabby
After finishing breakfast, we pack up the camp site and head to Lake Wabby where you’ll get the chance to walk over some epic sand dunes to a tropical paradise.
Fraser Island
Fraser Island
After lunch, don’t be sad, but after checking out the sand dunes it’s time to check out of Fraser. We say our goodbyes to Fraser Island and leave Lake Wabby behind as we begin our drive down to the beach and back to the barge for boarding.
Return to Rainbow Beach

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Once back on the mainland we take the cars back to the 4WD shed for a clean and unpack, returning to Freedom Rainbow Beach between 3 and 4pm.
