Broomstick was built in South Africa to win the Cape Town to Rio Yacht Race. From there she went on to compete in many of the world’s most famous blue water events including the Sydney to Hobart. She finished racing in 2000 and was converted to charter in 2000, but her racing spirit still remains!

This Sailing tour covers around 100 kilometres of the Whitsunday Islands and is achieved in 2 days 2 nights due to the Sailing ability of this Maxi Yacht. You can participate in all activities such as Snorkelling, bushwalking, visiting Whitehaven Beach and helping to sail a true Maxi. Or you can simply sit back and just take it all in.

This tour is designed for guests who want an action-packed fun Whitsunday experience with a sociable group of like-minded guests.

Day 1

Meet our crew and your fellow passengers for a 2pm departure from Abell Point Marina then set sail towards the spectacular Whitsunday Islands!

We arrive at our first snorkel location – we have handpicked the best snorkel spots to ensure you see plenty of the magical underwater world of these fringing reefs.

We then head back on board and sail to our overnight anchorage location.

Enjoy sunset snacks, drinks then dinner (with dessert). Spend the night hanging out on deck with your new mates. We also provide mats for star gazing and sleeping on deck if you wish.

Up for an early breakfast while heading to Tongue Bay

Once arrived, we head out on a bush walk up to Hill Inlet Lookout where you will be blown away by the views of the famous Whitehaven Beach.

Once you have perfected your new Instagram shot, head down to spend time on the beach (about 3 hours)

We head back to the boat for lunch and then sail to our second snorkelling location and then on to a third snorkelling spot.

Once you are snorkelled out (if there is such a thing), we head to Langford Island where we hang out on the beach for sunset snacks.

We then head to our anchorage location for the night, enjoy dinner (with another dessert), a couple of drinks and your second night of fun, chilling, socialising and star gazing.
