Tour Overview

On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you’ll be transferred to the resort (flights to arrive prior to 1.00pm). Travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Walk through Walpa Gorge, following the natural creek bed between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta.

Later at the sunset viewing area, witness the striking colour changes of Uluru while sipping sparkling wine. Watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre alight while enjoying a warming cup of tea or coffee.

Afterwards board your coach and travel around the base of Uluru as your Driver Guide provides commentary about the sacred sites and features of Uluru. Continue to the Kuniya Walk where your Driver Guide will escort you to Mutitjulu Waterhole.

View Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about native flora and the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru. Later visit the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre to see Aboriginal arts and crafts.

This afternoon travel through beautiful and rugged scenery, as your Driver Guide talks about key landmarks, while sharing some local history and stories on the many sights you’ll pass en route. You’ll be amazed at the sight of Atila (Mt. Conner).

Often mistaken for Uluru, it’s a distinctive flat-topped mountain that rises 300 metres above the desert sand. There’s time for an afternoon tea break (own expense) at Erldunda Roadhouse before arriving in Alice Springs.
