Australia’s Top End is one of the most remarkable areas in the world. It reaches from the Northern Territory’s capital Darwin in the north, down through to Katherine, encompassing Arnhem Land and both Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks.
Darwin is a laid back city and if you hang around its bars and beaches, you’re bound to find some interesting stories. It’s the perfect place from which to explore this magnificent region.
Popular single-day tours of the Top End take in beautiful waterfalls, pools, ancient rock art, boat cruises and bushwalks, and you can safely see crocodiles in their natural habitat. There’s also the opportunity to learn about Aboriginal culture and the history of the traditional owners of the land.
But to really experience the Top End, one of the many 2 or 3 day tours and spend the night in the outback. Accommodation ranges from tents to hotels, depending on your style.
